Product Designer

We are Cascade-Maverik Lacrosse. The brand leaders in the design and manufacture of Lacrosse equipment. We set industry performance and reliability benchmarks with our top selling helmets and gear.

We are seeking a creative and passionate Designer to join our Design Team.  

As one of our Designers, you work with R&D and cross-functionally with other groups to design, develop and produce innovative lacrosse product lines from inception to reality.  

Our Design team works on product lines including helmets & headgear, sticks & heads and protective gear. Utilizing Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, KeyShot, and other design programs, you work to create cutting edge product designs that improve the design image, performance and consumer appeal.  

You will excel at communications, seeking and sharing information and ideas and ensuring all members involved are aware of the status of design work and changes throughout the process and through final execution of product details. You will review product samples and making recommendations to the development team, and create and make changes to tech packs.

You provide expert advice to produce high quality designs that meet and exceed our customers’ expectations, for performance, sustainability, merchandising, fit and cost. You stay aware of all current market and consumer trends and habits in order to improve product performance. 

The Designer who best fits our culture will actively and passionately engage in all activities of design projects from briefing process to commercialization and prepare communications and updates regarding projects status and performance. You create and work with prototypes for validating designs prior to manufacture, working in the work shop performing work on prototypes, testing, building and adjusting models.                                                              

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study, plus 1-5 years’ experience working in Design or closely related field.

  • Must be proficient is Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, KeyShot, etc.
  • Excellent time/project management skills.
  • Must demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter.
  • Able to forecast next creation of design phase.
  • Must be a creative and innovative problem solver.
  • Understands design trends and how to translate them to design application.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-orientated, with ability to seek creative viable solution to any given situation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environment.
  • May travel 10-15% of the time as needed to vendors & testing sites to monitor and trouble-shoot product development and testing, research materials or resolve other issues.

Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards. Minimal physical effort required; normally seated with the freedom of movement on a regular basis, handling of light materials. Will frequently perform activities in work shop environment performing hands-on tool work on prototypes. Some travel as needed.
