Design Lead

This role will lead the design strategy and execution throughout the company. It will have a significant impact on the business by delivering design solutions of the highest quality, and play a major role by influencing how we design across the company.

This role will be our first design focused role and is a rare opportunity for an experienced and ambitious designer to have a major impact on the direction of a fast-growing technology company. 

You will collaborate with Pointy leadership to determine design direction; Hire and manage a team of designers working on all of Pointy’s product experiences; Inspire, motivate, and lead senior and junior designers to do amazing work and work closely with our product management and engineering teams to deliver amazing experiences that has a real impact on our retailers’ business.

You will need exceptional skills in the craft and execution of product design work, from high level strategic direction down to UI design details. As you will be developing a team we would prefer that you’ve managed a team of designers before and have experience developing other designers' skills and careers and motivating and inspiring them to do their best work. You will need to be relentlessly customer-focused and a strong communicator both written and verbally with a strong preference for collaboration.

User Experience Design, UI/UX Design, Design Strategy, Usability Testing, Product Design are all skills that will be required for this role.
