UI/ UX Specialist

UI/UX Designer

We are a high growth startup backed by one of America’s top furniture retailers.  The UI/UX Designer shapes unique, user-centric solutions and experiences. You have an eye for clean and artful design, possess superior UI skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces. You are a dynamic team player, creative thinker who has fun tackling complex problems at scale, and a strong relationship builder who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

●     Create innovative digital design solutions and UI systems

●     Create design/interaction guidelines and libraries that can be applied across iOS, Android and web solutions

●     Improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicate the interaction ideas using any of these methods

●     Produce design documentation and create expected deliverables: visual guides and style, visual design concepts, wireframes, visual mock-ups, clickable prototypes, interface guidelines

●     Constantly monitor top design trends and user-interface best practices to enrich the user-interface of a product or a solution

●     Collaborate with other designers within the team or the chapter to solve design challenges and ensure a level of design consistency and coherence across the digital channel

●     Passion and understanding of D2C affiliate platform, including best practices for mobile, web and dashboard design

Qualifications

Domain Expertise

●     Experience in creating prototypes from and wireframe tools, low and high-fidelity clickable simulations

●     Good understanding of iOS and Android design systems

●     Strong experience using tools such as Sketch and/or Figma, InVision and/or Marvel, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.

●     Experience with different platforms supports: Web (Desktop + Mobile), Native (Mobile + Tablet)

●     Experience with planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing and rapid prototyping

●     Nice to have: Deep understanding of furniture industry

●     Nice to have: Marketing aggregator or affiliate platform marketplace experience

●     Open to learning new ideas outside scope or knowledge skillset to span across UI design, strategy and testing

●     Creative ideas with problem solving mindset

●     Ability to work effectively in a team setting incl. synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications

●     Comfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlines
