Junior Design Internship (paid)

Firefly is a category-defining and fast-growing Silicon Valley startup creating the next disruptive platform in out-of-home advertising. Firefly’s investors include some of the biggest names in the VC industry, such as NFX Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Bessemer Venture Partners.

Firefly operates a network of internet-connected digital screens on the top of rideshare and on- demand driver vehicles, serving situationally aware advertising and content for brands such as HotelTonight, Venmo, Zoho, Salesforce and Bonobos. Firefly is the exclusive platform enabling brands to effectively reach this audience with targeted, dynamic and measurable outdoor advertising.

We are seeking a hard-working and creative mind to create new content for the screens that will catch your attention on the streets.

This is an exciting opportunity for a student to get first-hand start-up experience where creativity can be explored with brands, cities, and community-centered partners. The internship will include creating real content for the Firefly platform, working with the creative team, and learning about the engineering behind the magic of Firefly.

Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with Creative team to articulate and execute designs for screens (gifs, mp4s, and images) and web
  • Assist in photography selection for new clients, partnerships, and campaigns
  • Photoshop retouching and image selection for clients, brands, and partnerships
  • Be a community advocate for Firefly

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Current student
  • Excellent computer knowledge for both MAC and PC environments; owns own laptop device with software capacity
  • Must be proficient in basic design programs including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and knowledge of video editing software.
  • Experience in creating mp4, gif, and other animations
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and administrative skills
  • Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified timeframes
  • Organized, dependable and detail oriented
  • Must live in the San Francisco area (the office is located in SOMA).
  • Friendly and enthusiastic, social, and empathetic personality
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively to resolve difficult
  • situations
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, subject to rapid change and uncertainty
