Senior React Frontend Engineer

Responsibilities:

Shift4 is embarking on a ground-up redesign of systems through which our employees, partners, and customers interact. We are on an exciting path to reimagine the customer experience from onboarding to support.

Candidate will be responsible for developing React frontend applications which interact with existing internal APIs and business applications, modernizing our customer interactions for a mobile-first world. As a Senior React Frontend Engineer, you will be joining a small, multi-disciplined team developing applications that will be both internally and externally facing. We value openness, growth, responsibility, and teamwork, and we hope that you have the same attitude.

Qualifications: 

  • At least 3 years of experience designing and building web or mobile applications;
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks like React.js and modern JS concepts (ES5/ES6+);
  • Experience building complex React.js applications
  • Experience with Deployment of versioned projects to end user-facing applications;
  • Proficiency in HTML5, and CSS;
  • Experience with Typescript or statically-typed languages;
  • Experience with RESTful Services and manipulating JSON;
  • Knowledge of browser and device differences with the ability to deliver seamless responsive experiences;
  • Understanding of UI/UX concepts and cross-platform differences;
  • Experience in creating mockups, testable applications, and writing unit tests;
  • Proficiency in web performance optimization (WPO) techniques;
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills;

Nice to Have:

  • Hands-on experience with application bundlers (Webpack) and Docker containers;
  • Experience in actively participating in application design and ideation sessions;
  • Experience working in Agile team;
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields;
