What you’ll do, as a UX Researcher

Driving best in class UX is a high priority for the business. We are looking for someone who can work within our Insight team and alongside our Product team and Product Design team to translate customer insights into brilliant, customer-led solutions.

 

You will deliver UX research across multiple brands within our UK offering including Oddschecker, Who Scored? and Casino Smash. You should be able to produce lean research output which is consumable and provides direction and answers to key stakeholders, in what is a fast-paced environment.

 

This is high visibility, high impact role in a fast-growing team and we need someone who is nimble, focused on user experience and can match the drive and ambition of the business.

 

We need a UX Researcher who can

·      Bring solid experience in usability testing from scriptwriting; to launching tests, reviewing outputs and providing recommendations

  • Operate at pace and in step with our product development cycles, rapidly testing and iterating upon ideas

·      Generate research that creates usable and actionable recommendations for stakeholders

·      Bring experience in benchmarking, competitor analysis, heuristic reviews, card sorts, interviews, field research, and other UX methodologies and techniques

·      Excel in a fast-paced, agile environment

  • Build rapport and work collaboratively with other teams including data analytics, customer insight, product and development
  • Take an exhaustive approach, considering all likely use cases, scenarios and edge cases
  • Contribute to our Insight team to develop and maintain a deep understanding of our target audiences, their behaviours, needs, goals, passions and expectations and disseminate this knowledge throughout the business

·      Champion new ideas based on your experience of working across different categories

·      Be open to learning new research techniques and methodologies in order to contribute to the wider Customer Insight team

 

The experience we are looking for in our UX Researcher

·      Proven experience in UX research across web & native platforms, including best practice approaches

·      An appreciation of recognised design patterns

·      A solid grasp of user-centred design and testing methodologies, subsystems, and usability and accessibility concerns

·      Ability to clearly and effectively communicate UX research methodologies, ideas, and solutions

·      Ability to collaborate and communicate closely with teams and other stakeholders in a relatively flat and fast-moving organisation

·      Be willing to help teammates, share knowledge, experience and learnings

·      Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism as well as having the gravitas & experience to champion your beliefs

  • Ability to identify UX issues and collaborate with design to generate solutions that meet users’ needs and are in sync with the product vision

·      Passionate about all things UX and other areas of research, design and innovation

·      Expertise in UX software such as usertesting.com or Figma

 

Other experiences, that would be nice to have:

·      An understanding of, or experience of working in the sports betting industry

·      Experience with aggregator products (price comparison engines) / finance products/products that are underpinned by the need for people to soak up complex information quickly and transact frequently (in our case: daily)

·      Degree educated in Psychology, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science or similar is desirable but not essential
