Template Design Project (Contract)
Overview
Screenfeed is a leading provider of digital signage content for the last decade. The design of our products has always been a key to our success, and now we’re looking for a talented individual to give us a hand in putting a visual face on our new creation platform.
The Project
We’re currently working on a workflow tool that allows users to create digital signage content from pre-designed templates and tap into live data. Templates will cover a variety of categories, and we are looking for additional designers to add to our library with beautiful and functional designs.
The aim of each template is to balance clean design with aesthetic depth and craft. Screenfeed will provide template use cases and creative direction for each.
Expectations
- Information intake to learn about our service and our clients’ needs
- Get a demo of our online software system to understand the context
- Design concepts for 3 different templates, each with a unique use case (examples: menu board, directory, featured product)
- Accept feedback and create revised design concepts
- Accept feedback again and refine the concepts
- Implement the design in our “Canva-like” design tool
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll enjoy this project if the following sounds like you:
- Can create tasteful typeface pairings, balancing readability with style
- Have an eye for curating color combinations with an understanding of how they’ll behave on public digital screens
- Are naturally curious and happy to ask questions
- Enjoy iteration
- Your portfolio demonstrates clean visual hierarchy and creative layout solutions
- You understand the quirks of designing dynamic/data-driven content
Experience with brand kits, infographics, UI design, social media posts or poster design would be a plus!
We are willing to pay competitively because we value the design level we desire for the overall product (Connect). There would also be an opportunity for more template design projects if the initial three go well.
