Strata Virtual Events brings you Ad World Conference (, and our sister company iStack Conferences ( has bi-annual events held in Barcelona and Bangkok. Since 2015, our conferences have grown exponentially and have become industry leaders globally with more than 18,000 attendees for our online events and 500 companies and 8000 attendees annually for our offline events.

And when we say ‘conferences’, don’t get confused with grey-suited businesspeople in drab dimly lit rooms eating stable sandwiches. Our “conferences” are attended by sharp online entrepreneurs with the future in mind. We make our ‘in person’ events more music festival than monotone, think a huge impressive stage with LED lighting, beer pong tournaments and adult-sized bouncy castles. Our “conferences” are very fun and we apply this same mindset to our working set-up offering very flexible working hours, virtual offices and annual travel to Bangkok and Barcelona for our events.


We’re a conference company and therefore we’re experts in the niches we throw conferences in. Content is a way for us to show this! We’re looking for a content strategist to lead the creative strategy for our conference brands, by conceptualizing and actively creating content that:

A) Demonstrates our brands are authorities in our industries

B) Is unique, intelligent, funny and specifically knowledgeable

C) Helps sell conference tickets

We’re looking for someone who deeply understands what makes good content, compared to generic content. It takes a creative eye, expert knowledge in the field, and an understanding for design, copy and social platforms.

Under the guidance of the Head of Marketing, you’ll create captivating content concepts and bring them to life through our Marketing Managers and Media Buyers as they build our audiences and drive new attendees to our events. We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes good content, content that draws engagement, and likes working with a creative team.

You will lead the development of content strategies for various iStack Conference events. Evaluate and iterate on creatives based on performance data. Collaborate with the media buyers to test new content, reporting key findings back to the Head of Marketing. Communicate regularly with team members and Marketing Leads. Your voice will need to be heard. Study the latest content trends in the industry to coach other team members, steer projects and elevate digital ad performance. What is working and why? What are the next opportunities? Think outside the box to provide new ideas and conversion strategies. Create, test, rinse, repeat.

These are the types of questions our Content Managers ask themselves:


  1. Which Customer Avatars are we targeting with this event?
  2. What content do I have at my disposal from past events that I can create compelling ads with?
  3. What type of content does the account need to drive better performance? (I.e: Are click costs too high / CTR too low? High frequency on retargeting, so the account needs more Top-Of-Funnel direct-response ads...)
  4. What ad creatives, promotions and post-click experiences will best support users in each stage of their Customer Journey? Awareness, Interest, Consideration, Purchase, Referral
  5. How can I strengthen the feedback loop between the Media Buyers and Content Creators so that future creative designs are based on performance data?


  1. What is the end goal (the "Job To Be Done") our Customer Avatar is trying to accomplish?
  2. What content can we create (image, copy, video) to demonstrate that this product will help them achieve that?
  3. What new angles can we take in each stage of the Customer Journey to uncover new creatives that drive high engagement?
  4. Which ad unit/format is best suited for each objective? (newsfeed, story, carousel, vertical)
  5. How can we iterate 10+ new versions of existing winning ad creative?
  6. What engaging organic content can we create to keep our brand top of mind during lulls?


  1. How can I quickly craft a content framework to communicate my vision to the Design Team? (the masters of Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premier, etc)
  2. What additional resources on the iStack Conferences team are required to execute my strategy, and how will I manage those deliverables? (copywriters, designers, landing page devs, shopify devs, etc)

1-2 years experience minimum, but your ability to craft amazing content, work cohesively as a team towards a unified goal is what really matters. We don’t care if you’ve worked on fortune 500 accounts, we care for passion to create amazing content. Our main content channels are Facebook and Instagram, but also run on GDN and YouTube and are always open to testing alternative sources.
