Heartwood IT – Logo, Brand Kit and Website (Astro)
OVERVIEW
Heartwood IT is a security-first managed IT provider in Central Texas. We're looking for one designer or small studio to create a new logo and brand kit, then build our website from that brand. The site must be live in January 2027.
Two phases, priced separately:
1. Brand – logo and brand kit. Must be approved before phase 2 starts.
2. Website – rework a purchased Astro template to the new brand and build the site. Phase 2 is optional; we may award it separately or end after phase 1.
AUDIENCE
Professional firms (10–50 users): CPA, law, engineering/architecture, title/escrow, medical groups. Later, community banks. The brand must look at home on a bank's vendor list while still feeling local and human.
PHASE 1: LOGO AND BRAND KIT
- Wordmark: "Heartwood IT"
- Tagline: Rooted in Security, Engineered for Compliance
- Concept: growth rings formed into a shield, showing the dense inner core of a tree (the heartwood) as one unified mark. Not a heart shape combined with wood.
- Secondary option: the rings cross-section alone, without the shield
- Brand words: Confident, Expert, Rooted, Precise, Human
- Colors: heartwood red-brown leaning burgundy, forest or slate green, off-white, one restrained accent. No blue.
- Type: confident, slightly traditional sans or semi-serif. No monospace or script.
- Style we like: clean and restrained like a finance brand (Charles Schwab, Vanguard), with a crafted, natural feel (Patagonia, Timberland)
- Avoid: heart symbols, globes, circuit traces, padlocks, swooshes, aggressive cyber styling, ornate crests
- Must work at 16 px favicon, on light and dark backgrounds, in black and white print, embroidery/vinyl and circular social crops
- 2–3 concepts, then 2 refined options, at least 2 revision rounds
Phase 1 deliverables: horizontal, stacked and icon-only versions; full-color, black and white (reversed) versions; vector source (AI/EPS + SVG) and PNGs incl. 512 px icon; palette (H

We’re looking to fully rebrand and develop the brand identity for **¿ERES EMO?**, a touring bilingual emo and alternative music party that brings together English and Spanish emo, pop‑punk, post‑hardcore, Latin alternative, sad emo classics, corridos, and cumbias.
The goal is to create a stronger, more recognizable brand that connects with both English‑speaking and Latino alternative music audiences while standing out in the nightlife and live‑event space. It’s a mix of emo nostalgia, Latin culture, and alternative nightlife.
We’re looking for a complete brand identity and brand guidelines deck, including:
- Brand positioning, personality, and creative direction
- Logo refresh and alternative logo variations
- Color palette and typography system
- Visual identity, graphic elements, textures, and patterns
- Nostalgic emo‑inspired design elements with a modern twist
- Social media templates, event flyers, and tour announcement concepts
- Merchandise and promotional applications
- Comprehensive brand guidelines deck for future use
**Creative Direction:** Think 2000s emo and MySpace nostalgia meets modern Latin alternative nightlife. Dark, edgy, rebellious, emotional, nostalgic, and slightly chaotic, but still polished and recognizable. We’re drawn to black, silver, electric blue, purple, and pink, with influences from underground music culture, punk flyers, Y2K aesthetics, and Latin alternative scenes.
The brand should capture the feeling of screaming along to your favorite sad emo classics, then switching to Latin alternative hits, corridos, and cumbias. It’s nostalgic, bilingual, culturally relevant, and built around a community that grew up between two music worlds.
The identity needs to be flexible enough to work across multiple cities, venues, digital campaigns, merchandise, and future tours.
We’re open to exploring new creative directions while maintaining the authenticity of emo culture and the bilingual, bicultural identity that makes **¿ERES EMO?** unique.

A comprehensive redesign of a cooperative society mobile application, targeting Arabic and English users, is required to overhaul usability, product discovery, and visual identity.
The redesign must evaluate the current functional app, identify usability issues, refine user journeys and navigation, and deliver a modern, intuitive experience. Key focus areas include product display, search, and shopping list integration, as well as an AI‑powered shopping assistant. A scalable, white‑label Figma Design System will be developed to enable easy adaptation for other cooperative societies by swapping branding elements without redesigning core interfaces. The project proceeds in two phases: Phase 1 – UX discovery and architecture, including audits, feature refinement, and information architecture; Phase 2 – UI design for iOS and Android, interactive prototypes, and developer‑ready Figma files in both RTL and LTR formats. Candidates must demonstrate proven mobile UI/UX experience, a strong portfolio of complete app projects, Arabic/RTL design expertise, advanced Figma skills (Auto Layout, Components, Variants, Variables), and the ability to conduct UX audits and produce interactive, developer‑ready deliverables.

Project overview
DeadRare is a digital art marketplace for collectibles. We’re commissioning five original pieces for a new collection and need a digital artist who can turn a detailed written brief into a finished artwork without visual reference.
What you’ll do
Create five original digital artworks, one at a time, each from its own written brief.
Interpret each brief independently and develop the visual direction yourself. We won’t supply reference images, mood boards, or style guides, because the artist’s own interpretation is the point of the commission.
Deliver each piece for review. We approve it before the next brief is issued.
Requirements
Based in Canada and available to work remotely
A portfolio showing finished original digital art. Strong concept work from a written prompt is a plus.
Clear about your availability
Comfortable working independently and keeping project details confidential.
