@Glenno: No, it’s Neven Mrgan’s Flatterns.
@Merfield: I’m coding this up tomorrow. I could either use webkit masks or two rotating boxes. Flash? You’re hilarious, sir.
@Tsi: That’s good point.
Here’s a few hours worth of proof-of-concept of the circle loader (or “circlet” I’m coining) with CSS3 animations. Don’t look too hard; it’s not the cleanest solution.
Check out here. Safari for extra-smooth hardware acceleration.
Was working on my own set of these, but debating on which color to use. This would be the activity indicator for an AJAX search call that would have the outer ring spin continuously.

I just had to see what it looked like on a light background and with a progress bar. Oh man, Drew.

Amazing work Matthew. Lovely progress bars. The background pattern is that Naomi Atkinson's set?

Looks great! I'm very curious as to how you're going to make it work in HTML, unless you're intending to use flash, of course.

little UI issue: keep the filename always while it's uploading. Users always want to be sure which file they chose and uploading.

Woow Great progress bar! The blue tones are beautiful. I maybe change the color of the entire state, but the work is great!
