First time ever making something like this. I don't normally do this kind of stuff. Prolly, since I am a graphic designer and not a UI, Front end, or Interface designer. But, James is the man! I think his work is amazing and I thought I make a camera icon using my woodgrain.

Man, that wood grain is so sweet!
Woodgrain is awesome. Don't know if you were just having an attempt at trying a camera icon. But orange is our main colour for Gifture ;) Good first attempt though.
PS- where'd you get that woodgrain pattern?
Yeah i tink would look good if it was orange but i still like it.
That texture on the icon looks sooooo nice on off-white/gray.
@James ✌ Yeah just my first attempt at making a camera icon ever. I just realized that the main color is orange. But, this was suppose to be just a tribute shot. Nothing more then that. Something for me to try and explore, learn from and give a shout out to a sick designer (you).
The woodgrain is my own creation. I haven't had time to release it yet but, I hope to get out soon and it will be free.
looks much better to me, nothing personal to the original, but this one has more depth and looks not so flat!
You are a good man @Nick ha
First time, huh? Not too shabby.
Turned out very good. The grey wood texture is really awesome.
@Nick Slater Would love a vector download of that woodgrain :) Great work on this!
Nice one dude...first time or not, it's strong.
Love the subtle wood grain pattern! Quit being so awesome, srsly :P
you are a pro dude!
@fabio perez Your to kind my friend!
just try and gain as many design skills you can, to be the first time it isn't anything bad.
you got me to do a "first tries" bucket :) we'll see what it fills up with.
So kiff, bru!

The lens is not in the centerm otherwise its good.
