UX Digital Designer

Join the OddBytes Team! Reporting to the Creative Director, the UX Digital Designer is a key member of the Creative team whose primary responsibilities include conducting quantitative and qualitative research, as well as behavioral and attitudinal analysis to inform and influence the direction of our company’s products.  Additionally, you’ll be responsible for designing wireframes, prototyping, and ensuring the seamless integration of user feedback into the product development process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help spearhead our social shopping mobile app

  • Applies user-centered design principles to improve the workflow, expand the functionality, and enhance the visual appeal of websites and mobile apps. 

  • Collaborates with designers, product and engineering as well as other stakeholders to understand research needs

  • Defines research questions and selecting appropriate methods; surveys, interviews, experiments, etc. of data collection

  • Develops budgets and timelines for research projects

  • Gathers requirements from users and stakeholders, defines information architecture, creates sample user personas, and documents user workflow. 

  • Designs wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. 

  • Applies the results from user research and usability testing to create new features and improve current features. 

  • Transforms research findings into functional UX concepts, easily understandable and actionable insights 

  • Communicate insights to designers, developers, product and cross functional stakeholders in a way that drives action. 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • At least 5 years of UX experience is a must

  • Requires knowledge of visual design and wireframing/prototyping tools. 

  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing and facilitating focus groups. 

  • Deep understanding of various graphic design software packages, such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro. 

  • Mobile and desktop experience required

  • Strong communication skills; to internal teams and stakeholders as well as outside participants.

  • Ability to identify and understand user expectations, frustrations, etc. and use reasoning to develop solutions to user needs.

  • Demonstrate Design thinking: define, ideate, prototype, and test.

  • Ability to think critically and select the appropriate research methodology.

  • Deeply Curious: ability to see and ask insightful questions and discover meaningful insights.

  • Collaboration: ability to work with developers, designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to bring the best possible product to market.
