Who are you?
I’m an illustrator and graphic designer based in Cádiz, Spain. My background in fine art inspired me to mix illustration with graphic and web design, because drawing is a universal language understandable by all people, from all over the world, and of all ages. The application of art to design therefore helps me to really reach a lot more people.
What are you working on?
I’m currently illustrating classic books covers. It’s amazing create my own visual representation of stories that everyone knows.
Also, I’m very excited about a new project where I am completely producing all of the visuals for an indie game about the first man on Mars! I’ll begin showing this project on Dribbble, step by step, in the next few weeks.
Choose a favorite shot of yours. Why is it a favorite?
“The Fall” is a personal illustration that I made one night simply for enjoyment after work, without an agenda, clients, or deadlines. I think it’s important to spend time every week creating freely, working on personal pieces and experimenting with tools, resources, and weird concepts to remind ourselves why we chose our profession.
Tell us about your setup. What tools did you use to create the shot?
I’ve had the same setup for 3 years and it’s perfect for me. I don’t need anything more. In the picture, you can see my Wacom Cintiq 21”, which is my favorite tool ever. It allows me to work very fast and correct errors very easily. You’ll also notice my iMac, a lamp for working at night, a couple of plants, pencils, pens, brushes, Yoda and Vision, and a red Moleskine (the best paper for sketching). Everything is sitting on a big table made by my father. Out of picture are a lot of books and comics, a sofa, TV, and PlayStation. This is my paradise!
Choose a favorite shot from another Player. Why do you dig it?
I’m in love with the work of Timothy, any shot of his is amazing. I discovered his work in Dribbble some years ago and have been a huge fan ever since.
He created this shot for Twitch.
