Los Angeles, CA @ Lumi

  1. Los Angeles Dribbble Meetup lumi meetup

“Our first Dribbble meetup at Lumi HQ was a day of many milestones. It was the first time we hosted a Dribbble Meetup; the first time we got chairs for more than 70 people; and the first time we had an onsite barista. (Thanks, Cause Roast!)

After some pour overs, snacks and stamping, we all heard from This Is Ground founder Mike Macadaan who is our neighbor in downtown LA and a big inspiration. Before diving into the world of leather with the clever Cord Taco (a.k.a your earbuds’ best friend), Mike was a UX designer for the likes of MySpace and Science Inc. He talked to us about how he uses his knowledge of tech and design to create invaluable, functional, fashionable products, and how This is Ground does it all locally.”

Stockholm, Sweden @ Bontouch HQ

“We had an awesome night. Around 40 attendees showed up at Bontouch HQ to listen to talks by three speakers. Head of UX at Bontouch Michael Rotstein talked about our company and how we make world-class products for the best brands on the planet.

One of our Principal Engineers Emre Berge Ergenekon followed up with a case study about designing a new app for Taxi Stockholm. He walked through our design journey for Taxi Stockholm’s new Android app—including the early ideas and concepts, how we iterate/reiterate and learn more about the product.

Last but not least, Jonny Strömberg cofounder of Confetti spoke about how it is to run a design-driven startup. He shared the Confetti story—choices they made, challenges they faced, and some things they learned along the way.”

New Delhi, India @ India Habitat Centre

  1. Delhi Dribbble Meetup! delhi india meetup meetups new delhi stickers

“The Delhi Dribbble Meetup was an informal meet at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. We had 14 designers from various fields talk about their experiences with design, their processes, as well as tips they’ve picked up over the years. It was a pretty interesting event, and we’re planning to make this a monthly meet. Join our Facebook group to discuss meetups. Anyone is free to join in!”

Mexico City, Mexico @ Centraal

Francisco Franco Francisco Franco Experience Designer @hotstudio / All-terrain human / Humble warrior.

“We had a really successful Dribbble Meetup! We had around 35 people with a mix of designers coming from startups, consultancies, and a good share of students. We organized a panel of four designers to share their experiences and ideas around the theme ‘UX Design Tools.’ Our host, Centraal treated us to drinks and snacks, the speakers pitched in to buy pizzas for the crowd. We made a raffle to give away the goodies that you guys sent us and also a book that one of our sponsors gave away. It was a great experience for all.”

San Francisco, CA @ HoneyBook

Kim Pham, an engineer at Weave organized a Dribbble Designer Huddle in San Francisco. Attendees gathered at HoneyBook HQ to talk design and process. Meetup organizer Kim said,

“I wanted to connect designers with each other because it’s important to build a sense of community and connectedness,” she said. “It was wonderful to see people chat about products and processes, get advice from one another, and share best practices.”

Edmonton, Alberta @ Startup Edmonton HQ

“Our first meet up in February was on the small side, with only 10 in attendance. But the interesting mix of designers, developers and artists led to riveting conversation nonetheless. Hoping to do it bigger and better at our next Dribbble Meetup, and reach more of local design community.”

Atlanta, GA @ Foster Atlanta

“Forty 40 women from all over Georgia came together for the Be Free Workshop. People supported one another, made true connections, and really learned from each other. Our first workshop reviewed Productivity and Efficiency tips, and people jotted notes furiously. We’ve already got our second workshop booked for April, and I’m so excited to meet with these women again.”
