A few days ago a photography portfolio I designed and coded went live. Check out the full project on behance and let me know what you think. I'd really appreciate your comments & feedback on this.

It's responsive too? You win
Beautiful, thoughtful work; the little details like the rotating compass in the profile page, transitions &c. are perfect. Attention to detail really sets apart the excellent from the mediocre.
Great work. I wouldn't expect anything less from you, though :)
Really great work. Love the compass and all the details. Nice typeface choices as well – good combo.
I've only checked out the site on the iPhone. Looks good! A few remarks:
I would hide the grid/list selection on the portfolio page, on iPhone I only get the list anyway.
The text is jittery on the profile page, it moves up and down.
For the homepage I would look at setting the focal point of the images, now the portrait is cut in half. Look at how squarespace lets you pick a focal point and then uses that to position the background image.
thanks a lot for your great feedback, I really appreciate it!
@Hans verschooten thanks a lot for your input on the focal point, that's exactely what I was looking for. I'll definitely have a closer look at that! Thanks for pointing that out :)
Looks very minimalistic. Good job!
You should post it on siteinspire and awwwards.
I had once the same approach for a photography site.
You nailed it!
Awesome project, well executed!
Perfect! Bravo Ines.
This is beautiful! I love the fluidness of the site and the beautiful colour pallet.
Design wise its perfect. Very well done, my only peeve is the loading on the photo essays. It takes a very long time (and I have a decent connection) for some of them to load, and having to wait for all of them to finish before I'm allowed to even see the first image clearly really sucks. It also seems to have glitched out on my a couple times, and just never disappeared even though it seems the entire article loaded.
Other than that I wouldn't change at thing!
@Trevor Henry thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it! I know that for some entries the loading could be better but since it's a photography portfolio it'll be difficult to reduce filesizes etc. But I'll talk to the clients, maybe splitting some articles would help ;) I'll also have a look at the glichtes, heaps of thanks for pointing that out ;)
edit: after going to the site, you should really make the overlay go away sooner. Making the whole page unusable (because of the overlay) until all of it loads is a major turn off, it will turn a lot of people away.
Great work! Subtle :)

Really like the style but you should maybe think about utilising some vertical media queries or max-heights on images to help cope with tall browsers. I always have my browser window set at 1300x1300 which stretches the images vertically.
Other than that, wonderful work.
