New concept for up and coming app...comments on colors scheme/logo is appreciated!
Hi Lucy! This is looking nice and clean. When you resize, or place the icon over a light background, it's fading away and losing impact. I'd recommend exploring colors other than blue for either the target rings or the background, or consider stronger highlights/shadowing. Have you seen Ollin's tutorial for icon lighting? http://www.madebyollin.com/blog.html#lighting_in_icons
Nice icon, welcome to the site!
On a good note I like that you have kept to a simple design and your color scheme is pretty nice. You also did correct corner rounding from what I can tell. However, Your sizes are actually off by a pixel or so in some areas. Another thing I noticed is the lower highlight. It's there consistently until the largest version.
I also agree with @Alex Fram about the light background and lighting. I don't agree that you would need to change your color altogether though. There are some simple ways to fix that including separation lines and inner glow shading effects.
On a personal note I am not a big fan of the huge gloss overlay. It's very old school iOS.
Thanks for the comments guys! @Alex Fram, I forgot to mention, the smaller icons have a different background overlay, and lighter rings in general. (I'm still testing what works better). Thanks for the tutorial link though. Will def tuck this in my back pocket.
@Kyle Adams You are right, I am a pixel or so off on some of them. Good eye. And yeah I went back and forth with the gloss. This is the first of my mobile app projects, still have some more perfecting to do.
@Lucy Mao I can understand that. Feel free to contact me if you need anything.
Great icon nice shot! welcome to Dribbble
