Loved Victor's mail app and thought I'd have a shot at designing my own in a similar style.

Nice. There it is. I was actually considering making one of these today, but you totally nailed it. I might have gone for a lighter scheme, but I don't wanna screw it :)

You know what you should add? A virtual waiting line. And then when all those people are waiting, you go to a big box company and say 'Hey.... wanna buy a waiting list with more then 500.000 people that are dumb enough to download this app ten weeks ago?" And they say. 'Ok' and you will be rich!

This is really awesome! One thing I'm worried about is how these flat apps would actually look in Mac OSX. Seems to me like they would be out of place, but I've never seen a flat app like this so I can't really judge it.

I think the contrast especially in the dark area is way too low.

@Christoph Bach I totally agree with you, it needs more contrast on the darker part.

Lovin' this! Color scheme, plus subtle touches are great. However, if I may ask, how practical is an app like this if it were a desktop app? It seems a little over-the-top with the extra spacing, even for a desktop mail app.

No hate here of course, I really love this. Just giving some extra juicy critique :)

@Ben Bate ⚒ Wish this was real. I do have one question though, how would users navigate between folders?

Thanks for pointing that out @Matt Legrand - it was a silly joke. I'm a mac/iphone/ipad guy and I love skeumorphic design. I'm just not a huge fan of those leather textured weather apps.

A few things are hard to see. While design-wise is very pleasing, If I were using using it I'd like some of the things to pop more, like the attachment icon, the time and some of the icons on the right. But again, a very nice design.
