Monstera Box #04: Luck

Every box of Monstera Earrings (check rebound image) has an illustrated card with a short phrase in it (themed by the number engraved on that particular pair of earrings), alongside a temp tattoo. I try to have this positive, humorous and a bit sexy at times approach to it which blends well when drawn in a kind of american traditional style line work, as they are also meant to work as a tattoo.

The reference to the number four is the very well known four-leaf clover good luck charm. The phrase inside the card goes "It’s impossible to darken my day" — a line from a Marvin Gaye song called "Lucky Lucky Me".
