Some close-ups of the animals I used in my previous Year of the Rat GIF.

I had a lot of fun designing these in AI! It started very detailed, with gradients and different colors, but ended very simplified with just shadows. I'm enjoying illustrating/designing in this style, I find it easy to play around with and relaxing to execute.
