Working on a logo for an electric company.
I'm no pro when it comes to negative space but I'm exploring a couple of options here.
Anyone willing to look at it and point out some tips? It would be very much appreciated!
This is just a first digital sketch, it should read 'VERITEC' and it probably reads 'VERITED'
Maybe I can get them to change their name ;)

this negative space into ED it's so so overused, my advice: try something else :)
Yes, Ed's electric...etc, I know. Problem with electricians is, if they want to be recognizable to a wide public, the plug, voltage or lightbulb are always the most obvious choice and for good reason I guess.
I have 2 days to make them a couple of proposals so constructive feedback is welcome.
well, every client comes to you with a problem, but the obvious choice doesn't mean it's the best solution :) If you don't think this is constructive feedback I can delete all
No, I don't think "do something else" is very constructive feedback but you can leave it it's fine. I'm trying other things too so bare with me.

Sorry, couldn't resist.
No hard feelings right? :)

I definitely saw "Verited"
Different direction for the Veritec logo.
Any thoughts? Seen anything like it before?
The slogan is still a WIP
