Behind the design...
Patriotism is a very special feeling, each country has stories of different important and iconic patriotic events, but when I think of patriotism, I can't help thinking about the United States, in my opinion, it is one of the countries with the most entrenched patriotic feeling, it can be evidenced in their national events, in the reputation of their soldiers, in their history and design. Uncle Sam's illustration is one of those iconic symbols of history, not only of that country, but also of the world.
I'm in favor of peace, but I understand that sometimes war is inevitable, "si vis pacem, para bellum", "If you want peace, prepare war". How can a war end without starting one? Humanity is so complicated sometimes that I can't understand it. We are the most intelligent race on the planet and, despite that, we prefer to spend resources and lives to annihilate ourselves.
I'm not a religious fanatic, but I'm a man of faith, I pray daily waiting for the day to come soon when no more wars are needed, the day when humanity works together to grow and develop, the day we no longer see ourselves with hate or fear
"The pen is mightier than the sword," I believe in that, wisdom and intellect will always be stronger. We all have the potential to do good or evil, it's just a matter of choice. I hope a poster like Uncle Sam's doesn't have to be used again, ever again.
If my designs can't save the world, at least I hope they make it more beautiful. <3
