This is kinda part of a school project that I'm working on at the moment. I wanted to rethink the online learning environment we have at my school, which obviously means UX is really important. That being said, I'd like to get feedback from you guys on the UX, and I've attached the fullsize image for you to peruse.
And yo @Bobby, check the right hand side of the attachment ;)

My life is complete.
Wow my names not in this? :(
Also, what happens when there are tons of users and you run out of colors? ;)
@Bobby haha ily, and yeah normally there would be pictures and like blue text, but for presentation purposes there are colors. And @Coleman, this.
Nice work man!
These colors are sexy! Great work dude
My little feedback: Loose the stroke in the circles with days and hours in them. Also, what happen when you have two or three digits in the notifications circles? How the glow will look?
I think you've made a great work here. Nice colors btw.
Great ! Just one thing, "Ecrivez ton nom de famille en français" It's wrong ! haha. Btw, what's the font ?
@Mathieu Croset ✓ Écris? And proxima nova :)
Looks nice but i would like to remove the gloss on the timeline buttons :)
@Nathan Walker "Écrivez votre nom de famille en français" @Mathieu Croset ✓ it's looking btw ;) !
@Mathieu Vallee ?
Hey Nathan, it's not immediately clear what the circle markers mean here. Is that the amount of time that piece of work will take? That seems sort of confusing since it says "work due" - how can you do 2 days of work on that day? Is that amount of time in the circles accurate? What are the email icons for? How come it's showing me who is online? Definitely would love to see some of those issues ironed out.
@Philip Clark, Thanks for the feedback. A lot of functionality is modeled on my school's current software, but I wanted to streamline the experience a bit more. So basically, the circles with time in them indicate how long you have until that work is due. And, depending on when the teacher sets the work to be due, be it period 1,3,6 etc, the time until then will show up there. The email icons, when clicked on, automatically compose an email to your teacher in case you have any questions regarding the work. The online list in more of a concept feature in case you want to talk to your classmates regarding group work or miscellaneous plans etc. Possibly because of things like Facebook and Skype, this is not highly useful, but if all other attempts at making contact fail, it provides an easy way to talk to classmates also doing homework.
WOW! I also am working on a platform to improve school performance. I'm in high school and I think it would be useful to have a tool that will manage and organize your tasks, assessments and events.
Agree with some of the ideas you propose, as the email.
