Intel Sodaville

Intel Sodaville

This is the first illustration that I created for Intel in 2009. It was based on a previous rendering that they had in their archive. I created it in two days using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

The coin was shot using a Canon 5D. I laid it flat on a table and shot it using a "flag" as a reflective surface, giving me the high-contrast gloss. The coin was trimmed in Photoshop and duplicated in the reflection. This coin is part of a "sterling proof set" from the U.S. Mint, which is why it is perfectly pristine and gives such a clean reflection.

The chips were created by placing the original chip on a scanner and drawing shapes in Illustrator. This allowed me to use the original as reference for placement of elements and pins. All shading, shadows, and details are artificial and were created in Photoshop. The original file is 16 bits and contains over 200 layers.
