I've tried calligraphy, but found the pens to be too small. So I took a cue from graffiti artists and got myself a Copic Wide, extra broad tip marker. Loving the results so far.

Wow, awesome! Nice to meet you here Derek
Looks promising, welcome! :)
LOVE the effect of the dryness of the marker! Nice beautiful texture on a gorgeous "E"! If you like calligraphy, you should check out the videos made by Luca Barcellona! Here's one:
@Derek Munn - Awesome debut! I like the font style, very creative. Welcome!
Well, cheese and crackers. Thanks everyone! It's great to be here. I should have loads more type-related work a-coming.
@Bonnie Clas The marker is a bit dry, but the paper is really absorbent too. Kind of a nice effect, but also annoying. I'll check out that video right…now. Thanks.
I love the texture. Welcome to dribble
You should check out the work of the Amazing mr Shoe. He's the master at combining graffiti and the acient art of Calligrafy... http://www.calligraffiti.nl/
Welcome to the game Derek!
I wouldn't have guessed this was a marker. Those strokes and great texture... And obviously a very steady hand. It's amazing!
wow great shot and very nice debut! Welcome o board :) I hope I will see more from you :)
@Harman Mr. Shoe is one the people that inspired me to pick up the marker in favor of other instruments. Love his work.
