Facelift pt. II
I posted two weeks ago a sketch of a possible redesign. Whitespase, which is currently my sparsely updated blog, is getting ready to get a big facelift.
This is my idea as to how the homepage will look/feel.
This shot is different to the first in that I am abandoning all white blocks, as the whitespace has become a crutch (har har har). Instead, I am boosting the negative space.
For the time being, I see this site on a fluid grid that spans 100% the browser window.
I brought in a dribbble shot and since this design is incredibly sensitive to color, scaled back the opacity and grayscaled the image. It will be full opacity and color on hover. Haven't really thought that part completely through.
