Season 2 of the Overtime podcast is here! Listen to the first episode with Meg Robichaud now.
This is the early stages of a project that I'm working on. The project addresses the need for alternative communication methods and will help people who are unable to verbally express what they are thinking.
The main challenge is to create a clear, easy to use, flexible interface that can work with a variety of ages and speech levels.
The user will be able to pick their own color scheme and the 3 main colors denote different kinds of ways to access words.
The red is a "smart" action. These types of actions will be automated based upon the user's usage and should help speed up the speaking process.
The darker blue (not sure what to call it exactly) is for folders. These will be groupings of words that the user can create and will contain words/phrases.
The teal is an actual word/phrase and are the building blocks for a person to speak.
