iOS pagination idea

While I have no issues with how wonderful the default "dot" pagination system works with most iOS apps, it really wasn't working with the rest of the UI of this little app, which I've 100% removed here as it's super secret for now.

We are thinking of moving to something like seen here, which will work just like you'd expect: as more pages get added, the darker "active" portion will become smaller, and vice-versa for fewer pages.

Anyone seen this in other apps? I'm sure it's out there, nothing is coming to mind at the moment though. If so, did you like it/hate it?

Looking forward to revealing more of this app to you guys!

The Android ICS home screen uses pagination similar to this, btw. :)

Reminds me of this thing I did for NY Times back in the old days. Had the same idea around greater/fewer – for images.

Bingo! Thanks @Sabih Mir and @Jon Dobrowolski, yeah after I posted this I began seeing examples of it more and more. Still definitely dig it's use and it's very likely going to make it into our app.
