Here's a first draft of a logo for a local cycle club. It's not a highly serious club so it's meant to be slightly fun.

a cleaner fonts without the textures would've helped. it makes this look cheap, which could look very well with a well chosen font!

you should post some more of your awesome portfolio, you have outstanding work, but your dribbble profile doesn't reflect that at all!
which is the reason you have not so many followers I think.

    Thanks for the input Daniel.

A cleaner font would have been one direction to go in. But the idea was to do something informal and relaxed to convey it's a small local cycle club. It's not mean't to be highly professional or slick. It needs to convey informal and fun as opposed to uptight and stuffy. I don't know about 'cheap', but it's definitely not meant to be expensive or exclusive!

And thanks for the feedback on my profile on Dribble. It is something I have been trying to do since signing up. But it's a case of finding the time to put material together for it. I really want to try and use Dribble as a way of posting work in progress or work that isn't in my main portfolio. But again it's finding time and also a lot of clients I work with wouldn't want me posting material before it's in the public arena.

But yes, I must try to post more material.

Like this a lot! I think the font used here feels appropriate in reflecting the cycle culture.
