30 — Catch

My eyes take forever to adjust, when they do she’s towering over me. With a smile on her face. My lungs are still burning, the lack of oxygen in the atmosphere.

She reaches out her hand and starts to pull me up. What’s the catch? Where are her minions? Why am I alive? So many questions, by the time I stop asking them she’s got my arm around her shoulder helping me across the barren sands.
