An early mockup of a "slide-to-call" feature from a Contact List, rather than a "call" button on each row. Still kicking this idea around.

Cool. What would a signal tap do?

Row taps drill down to a contact detail page with dedicated action buttons for starting a call or message (those buttons are cropped off in my other shot).

Sliding the row the other direction would uncover that "release to send message" action. Not sure how discoverable both are, nor what the negative UX implications of hiding three actions on each row would be.

  6. Flattening out things (no gradients!) and focusing on contrast, hierarchy, and interaction. Not 100% sold on the row arrows yet.

Thanks @Christian Gaillard... the two I'm using here are Open Sans and Tungsten.
