WiMex (née SPT Telecom) are installers of fiber-optic and copper cables in Mexico. They wanted their logo to represent strength, safety and communication, but I was given laissez-faire in all aspects of the design.
The mark I created is inspired by the braided cables, i.e., cables that twist over each other, that they commonly use in their work. It shows the front-view of one end of a braided cable consisting of three individual strands.
