Menu & HP/MP Bars

Working out some UI ideas for a menu-based RPG.

Experimenting with party member HP bars that show an individual member's HP as percentage of their max HP relative to the max HP of the max HP-est party member.

Why? Fighters often have close to twice the max HP of mages. A mage with 50% HP is in greater need of a cure than a fighter with 50% HP, maybe even within a single hit of defeat. Traditional HP bars don't communicate that effectively.

Never seen this done before but I'm all about reinventing the wheel.
