    It always baffles me. Why doesn't Apple's Lockscreen music controls look like this? Surely the consistency with the current Music App's UI makes perfect sense here, no?

    My biggest gripe is that there's no consistency between any of the sliders on iOS. I love how everything else is so consistent but it seems to be lacking in that area. The sliders in Settings, the Application Tray and the Music app are all different. It needs changing!

    I agree with a lot of the comments - I think that even with 3rd Party music apps the UI should favour the 1st Party Apple Music App..

    I just dont get why the slider is Blue on the Lockscreen and Silver (with orange buttons) in the new Music App..

    Just thought i'd let you know, it (sort of) now looks like this in iOS 6.1 (beta).

    I also came up with a mockup several months back of a 'iOS 6 music.app-ified' lock screen controls, glad they finally got around to it!
