This is my first ever Dribbble shot... I welcome any feedback.

I'm redeveloping the website of a television company in the UK. The intention is too move them off a corporate looking site and really bring their programmes right to the forefront of their new site.

I particularly welcome any thoughts on the 4 colours being used. It'll be fully responsive when complete.

Remember it's my first time, so please be nice! thanks.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of purple. (Don't get me wrong– the design is fantastic.) What might it look like with red?

Looks really nice, i love the big image as button looks and the color overlays are a nice element. I'm slightly worried about the mobile navigation being hard to click with your finger, maybe when it drops that size, an icon for a slide tab where the side nav just slides out and it can be bigger and easier to click? or maybe the nav switches to horizontal across the top?

Thanks for all the comments, guys. Very much appreciates. I'll post a rebound of the anticipated responsive layout - thanks for the thoughts Mike. Seth, i'll try red too. Thanks.

Thanks as ever, Matt. If only I could dribbble like you.
