Fort Cody Trading Post Branding - Process

Early branding process shot for Fort Cody Trading Post located in North Platte, Nebraska. I usually don't share things so unpolished, but I figure seeing the beginning stage of a branding project might be valuable to some. I personally love seeing where ideas start. So often the preliminary marks that a designer puts onto paper are really just glimmers of what we see in our heads, especially in regard to typography. I love taking these beginning sketches into the digital realm and thus, one step closer to that intangible idea previously living in my head. :) Anyone else feel this way?
