A button thing :D Full shot attached.

(that's probably the typeface we'll use, just trying different stuff).

Attached "full-map.png" having the map as the whole background, thanks to @Christopher Downer for the idea :)

I really like the colour and the texture, the only thing I'm not sure about is the variation in the colours. I don't really get why they are there, imo it would make more sense if it went in a gradient as you get on real road signs.

@Robbie Pearce i tried to make it like the iOS 6 navigation thingy because that's what this'll use to do the thing you know? (LOL)

Really nice, Prekesh, I think the typeface works pretty well actually.

@Prekesh Chavda The trick is with road signs is, you use the pattern as the light, not as the whole thing.

Well, looks good man but I do not like these pin's and I'm not sure about the texture of the green button. Nevertheless, a good concept ;)

@Mateusz Dembek the pins are just placeholders, I won't be designing them. just use the default ones

Green button looks really sexy. Love the clean design of the rest of the UI. Only thing, I would add a really soft inner shadow to the map, to make it match with the rest of the elements. But other than that, it looks pretty good to me.

Prekesh, how did you create that texture for the green button?

  23. Prekesh Chavda Prekesh Chavda

@Charles Riccardi I drew a set of tessellating hexagons, with varying opacities, turned them into a pattern and then put it on the button.
