Sola Gratia – 5 Solas of the Protestant Reformation
One of five illustrations for a local church's series on the 5 tenets (referred to as the 5 Sola's) of the Protestant Reformation.
This illustration features the Triquetra (sometimes referred to as the Trinity Knot), which is a symbol often used to represent the Trinity. Grace is a difficult concept to illustrate – often, God's mercy is referred to as "God not giving us what we have earned," and God's grace toward us is referred to as "God giving us what we have not earned." For this concept, I chose to highlight the significance of the mysterious nature of Grace, as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit all play unique, significant, and interconnected roles in the impartation of God's grace to us.
