FREEFiXX LoGO gimp adobe photoshop vector art typography branding paint dafont bevel drop shadow gradient png logo logo design logo

I created this logo for my website in May 2016 using paint[dot]net, a font I liked at the time from dafont called "Skater Girls Rock", and also using plug-ins to paint called drop-shadow and bevel-effect. I had no idea what I was doing and went to the paint forum and someone wrote me out a tutorial step-by-step what to do (see the link below for that actual conversation if you so choose)...
The bevel did not turn out so well as the color was supposed to be a smooth gradient from gray to red but I thought that looked good so I kept it like it was...
Anyways, problem was it was saved in PNG format and was just made one size, which the orig is attached here...So much has changed in 3 years...
I'm having a problem with pixelation (obviously) making it bigger but I understand that the image won't convert well to vector because of the gradient or something like that?? I am not an expert on graphic design at all but I suppose what I need to do is use PhotoShop or Gimp to make a vector image from scratch, and I assume with no gradient?
So I'm just starting the thing all over now years later, but I thought maybe some of you might have wanted to see this, even though I'm quite the amateur, but I also attached the lame favico I made to which I will also be re-doing...
If anyone has some advice or knowledge about this or could steer me and get me some inspiration, the quicker I can get my two sites rolling...BTW, I wasted like two weeks finding that font which I really liked then, and don't care for now so I'm sure that's going to slow things way down too...LOL...
Anyways, thanks for reading...I look forward to hearing some things, and again, that link is below...
