I was invited to design a New York City-themed sleigh for a holiday installation for 75 Rockefeller Plaza entitled “Dashing Through New York”. I served as art director as well as identity designer for the show. Leading a small team of artists, I produced a Broadway-themed sleigh.
Constructed from the base of a “primitive” pony sleigh from nearly 200 years ago, the Broadway sleigh was carefully adorned with ribbons of red curtain, a real chair from a Broadway theatre that I hand-painted, wired marquee lights, and even a real life Playbill with the name of the exhibition on it.
This exhibition ran through the 2018 holiday season and ended in January of 2019.
