In the fall of 2018, Shakespeare’s iconic A Midsummer Night’s Dream played to audiences at Fernandez Duminuco Hall for a total of four limited performances. The show features set and costume design by Off-Broadway designers and concept artists. I was invited to design the advertising campaign for the shows this season.
The visual identity established shows an ethereal fairy hand, with gold “magic” dust floating out of it, a graphic representation of the fairy magic that drives the plot of the play. The idea was to invite the audience into the magical and beautiful world of the enchanted woods before the show even began. I printed environmental graphics for the entrance to the theatre, as well as all of the collateral media, including the Playbills, posters, digital advertisements, and show merchandise.
