I may or may not be working on a redesign for Typographic Verses. I always find it hard picking a background colour. If I pick white, then the posters with white backgrounds look like they're floating or breaking the grid. If I go off-white then they blend with other off-white posters (of which there are quite a few) such as on this image in the bottom right. I thought texture might distinguish it a bit but it's not quite working. I want to avoid outlines / strokes / shadows if possible. What would you do, designers?
