Early Development for 80s Inspired Type Collection

Before jumping head first into a new type design, I draft enough glyphs to make a random word and see how it looks in action. Doing this frequently throughout the process helps me spot areas for improvement.

Here I’m working on the wide sans for an 80s inspired font collection, very early days but so far, so good.
