Slack app icon - Daily UI :: 005

Taking on one of the most disliked rebrands of this year, and trying to fix the biggest issue people had with it. The app icon, compared to the old Slack app icon which stood out among the crowd, the new icon blended in with such apps as the ios photos and google photos icons.

I have taken a macro zoom of the new logo and reinstated the 'S' to remind people of the old, admired icon while keeping it in line with the new rebrand. Hopefully a perfect mix of old and new.
