circumvesuviana

circumvesuviana is one of the main public transport systems of the campania region in italy. it transports millions of passengers around mount vesuvius every year and employs 1,590 people.

this project is a rebranding proposal for the company's visual identity. the goal was to redesign the logo maintaining its original concept, depicting the parallel rails, the wheels of the train, and also the circular mapping around the volcano.

"circum" comes from "circondare", italian verb that means to surround, to encircle; "vesuviana" is related to mount vesuvius.
