1965 is a quarterly culture magazine that aims to redefine, represent, and highlight cultural confusion and racial identity through trends, experiences, and short stories of Asian Americans. Named by the year that Asian immigration became legal in the United States, 1965 offers an inside look to the United States fastest growing population and one of the most ethnically diverse groups in the world. 1965’s articles range from the racial identity to stories of family and relationships to representation in the media and much more; we are bridging the gap that exists between “Asian American” and “American”.
