An extremely quick [1h 20min] practice icon made as a companion for my Applications icon. Feedback and suggestions are cool. I ended up trying several new techniques while working so fast so I'm eager to hear how they worked out :)
oh, and, I used the making of this icon to practice screencasting, if you are interested and willing to endure the watermark you can see it here

This is great ollin! But i think the wrench can be better. ；）
nice try @Ollin but I agree with @Aric Wu Wrench could be better. In my opinion, metal could be better, because now it looks bit plastic, like tools for kids, especially in the top part of wrench.
Great Work anyway :)
The top part of the wrench looks unfinished. I think if you fix that, you have a great icon!
I love the wrench.
- Shadow under screwdriver. Screwdriver doesn't touch the floor, but the shadow acts as if it does.
- Grips on the screwdriver handle. The shorter grips should look as if they were continued from the longer. You drew them separately, so the size and proportions differ. On an actual screwdriver, they're equally spaced and wrap around perfectly, allowed by the same size/proportions/spacing.
Levitating screwdriver rocks ;) Just kidding, nice accurate icon :)
excellent work @Ollin
Top notch :)
Maybe flip the screwdriver and ground it better? Awesome work though, don't get me wrong. I like the design.
