0 ~ Zero Female U.S. Presidents

Since the office was established in 1789, 230 years ago, 45 men and 0 women have been elected President of the United States. Today, there are a record number of women candidates running for the 2020 election. Never before have two female candidates faced off at a televised presidential debate; this year, there could be at least six.

Women are less likely than men to be recruited or encouraged to run for President but with the increase in female leadership in politics, more and more women are stepping up to take on those roles.
