Akinto

Concept for a southeast Asian restaurant influenced by the colorful, bold, and energetic scene that is street food vending. Akinto combines flavors from countries across the region—including Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and more—with a heavy focus on cuisine found throughout the Philippines. In research I particularly fell in love with sorbeteros (ice cream carts) found throughout Manila. It felt like the perfect icon to represent what street food is all about.
