Crafting Type

I'm pumped to finally announce a font design workshop I'm helping organize called Crafting Type.

Would love any feedback on the design & website (my first attempt at responsive design), or on the workshop in general!

The workshop was largely inspired by the "organize the event you want to attend" attitude of Interlink. After hearing Jessica Hische talk (at Interlink) about a type workshop she attended, Jeff and I lamented there never being these sorts of events in our North-Western Canadian home.

So, we decided to organize a workshop ourselves so we could attend it!

Here's a brief summary of the workshop:

Ever wanted to design your own font? Crafting Type is a concentrated 5-day workshop that teaches absolute beginners how to create a typeface. You'll learn the entire font production process: sketching techniques, digital drawing tools, OpenType features, and more. You'll even learn how to earn money with your fonts. The workshop is lead by type designer & aficionado Dave Crossland.
