Grookey

Confession time: prior to my gen 8 starters I had traced from other Pokémon illustrations to create mine. It was the best way I found to get shape proportions right and develop my skills. I was never a fan, but considered it a necessary evil. Besides Scooble’s head fin, all three gen 8 illustrations were created freehand, visually comparing to few available images. IMO Scobble turned out great, Grookey was good, and Scorbunny was a fine effort. I’m happy to finally have taken this next step and excited to illustrate some more!
